Reciprocating saws cut!

A contractor was cutting a 1-1/4" copper pipe with a reciprocating saw, equipped with and 8” blade.  The contractor inadvertently cut a live 120 volt circuit.  The piece of conduit that was placed next to the copper line.  This caused the lights to go out in the basement.  No injury was sustained.  

1) Be sure to know your surroundings.

2) Pay attention to the task.

3) Are you using the proper tool for the task?

4) If an incident does occur, perform a "Safety Stand Down" and review the incident will all involved.
