On Monday, March 20, 2017, contractor employee was in the process of accessing a Lift-A-Loft when the employee bumped his knee on the lift. A short time later the employee noticed his knee began to swell. At that point he notified his supervisor who instructed another employee to escort the injured employee to the nurse. The nurse referred the employee to an occupational health office where the employee received an X-rays. The X-rays reported no serious injury. The employee was cleared to return to work with some restrictions. The restrictions fell within the normal job activities of the employee.
Factors to consider at your site or on your project include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assess an employee’s ability to utilize necessary equipment.
- Remain focused on the task particularly if the task is physical.
