5 Now Dead In W. Va. Store Blast

Manager Dies A Day After Explosion Destroys Convenience Store

A fifth person injured in a propane blast died Wednesday, a day after the explosion destroyed a convenience store. All that remained of the business was a pile of splintered debris. The explosion occurred as emergency workers were investigating a report of a propane leak. Authorities believe the gas fumes drifted into the store, where they somehow ignited.

Submitted information will be evaluated for applicability, clarity of content, accuracy of information, necessity for further review and the urgency for sharing the information. All submissions will be edited to remove the submitter's name, company, dates, etc. Private submissions will be edited to remove any location specific data identified in the information. Public knowledge submissions will be communicated, as applicable, without content editing. The original submission will be stored in a secure database accessible only to the CS-SHARE Administrator.

How is Information Communicated?

To ensure immediate communication of published information register to receive CS-SHARE email notifications. Registration is free and open to anyone. Email notifications will be received immediately for any published high priority/urgent communication. All published submissions will be sent in a weekly summary email notification. Additionally, information is always searchable on the site through category, key word, and advanced search functions.
